Butterball is a character who appears in the films Hellraiser and Hellbound: Hellraiser II. He was inspired by the cenobite characters written by Clive Barker in the book The Hellbound Heart.
Butterball is a loyal servant to Pinhead. He appears as a henchman whenever anyone solves the Lament Configuration. Though he never speaks, he is a menacing sight.
In Hellbound: Hellraiser II, when Dr. Channard kills Pinhead, Female Cenobite, Chatterer, and Butterball, it is revealed that Butterball was once an obese human who was converted into a cenobite.
In Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth he was represented frozen in the Pillar of Souls.
